Sanrio Hello Kitty Toothbrush Review

She loves it. My wife and I love it too. Somehow the base can charge the brush with no exposed connections. Which is a brilliant idea for something used in wet environment. It will even mount to the wall if you so wish or will sit on your vanity. We have not mounted ours yet but think its a great idea.

Oral-B Vitality Floss Action Rechargeable Power Toothbrush, Blue and White Review

Oral-B Vitality Floss Action Rechargeable Power Toothbrush, Blue and White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have used the Oral B line of electric toothbrushes for over 8 years. In fact, up until a week ago, my first Oral B (from the Professional Series) was still going strong. Finally, the original battery wore out as I was having to charge it almost daily.
This Vitality model is a less expensive model than my Professional Oral B, but it seems to be just as good as far as cleaning my teeth. Maybe even better due to the flossing action of the brush head(s) that come with this. The FlossAction head is slightly larger in size than the brush-head I used before (the Precision Clean). I have a small mouth inside and this new brush fits a little more snugly inside my mouth, but on the plus side, this one holds slightly more toothpaste.
What I do like:
>> The two minute timer is the BEST feature of all. Unless you have a timer, you are not brushing your teeth long enough. Trust me on this.
>> The FlossAction brush head does a good job of getting near the tooth/gum line.
>> I love the rubber grip handle. My old Oral B did not have this, and it was slippery to hold onto.
>> Will go over a week between charges. I keep it off the charger until it needs recharging.
>> Almost feels like a professional teeth-cleaning.
What I do NOT like:
>> No charging light - my old Professional Oral B had a light, there was no doubt when it was plugged in and charging.
>> The clam-shell packaging this comes in has to be the worst I've ever encountered. My knife gouged into the rubber hand grip and I nearly cut myself twice. If you have the option of choosing this with frustration-free packaging, get that one instead.
I hate visiting my dentist. Since I've been using these Oral B brushes, my exams are so good my dentist is pleased with me, but he's not making the money off me that he once did.
The following Oral B brush heads will fit this model:
1. Precision Clean
2. ProWhite
3. Sensitive
4. Dual Clean
5. FlossAction (of course)

I love the 2 toothbrushes I received but unfortunately the website was not as user friendly as I thought. I wanted to buy 2 packs of 5 and only wound up with only 2 toothbrushes. Very disappointed since they are so hard to find and obviously I won't be buying here again. I found a seller on the bay that is very item specific with their items.

Spinbrush Kids - My Way Electric Toothbrush Review

Spinbrush Kids - My Way Electric Toothbrush
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It was that time again. My girls were both complaining that they were sick of their toothbrushes. And, to be honest, they were probably due for a new one. So, off to Walmart we go.
Having a 5 and 6 year old always ensures that either my husband or I are going to have to help them with their teeth. There is no way they can be trusted to brush enough or to not spit out the big pieces of toothpaste and then continue to brush with the toothbrush and just a limited amount of water (and maybe a small amount of toothpaste still on it). But, when we looked in the toothbrush aisle, they fell in love with this toothbrush. And to be honest, so did I.
What's not to love? It is a My Way Spinbrush by Arm and Hammer. The spinbrush helps them brush better by having the brush circulate with the push of a button (or in this case a purple jewel that you push). And the fact that they can decorate it to fit their style and you have a true winner. Each of my girls had so much fun decorating them and then couldn't wait to use them. It comes with stickers that adhere well to the toothbrush, and include letters so they can put their name on it. I thought this might be just the novelty of a "new" toothbrush. But, we've had them for 4 days now and they still want to brush their teeth more now than ever. So, it's a win win for everyone.

Oral-B S-320 Sonic Complete Rechargeable Power Toothbrush Review

Oral-B S-320 Sonic Complete Rechargeable Power Toothbrush
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After owning a Sonicare Elite 7500 for just over a year, like many other people, my battery started to give trouble. I kept it for awhile longer until eventually I could only brush once after charging for 12+hrs. So I decided to try the Oral B S-320 Sonic Complete. It was hard to decide which was better based on research alone, as each company had their own studies claiming which was better. Below are my own personal comparisons after using each toothbrush.
Oral B S-320 advantages over Sonicare Elite 7500:
1. Much easier to handle and easier to clean brush head. The Oral B brush head is nice and small and a snap to clean. The Sonicare's head is big and is extremely difficult to thorougly clean and easily builds up a stench.
2. Cheaper brush heads. Oral B heads are 3 for $20. Sonicare's are 2 for $20.
3. Cheaper toothbrush. Oral B retails at an average of $100. Sonicare used to be around $130 but can be found now for about $115.
4. Oral B is more attractive in terms of colors and design. This is based on opinion, however, as some may prefer Sonicare's more basic and 'professional' looking design. Plus Oral B's brush head is fairly ugly.
5. Oral B's bristles are harder. This should mean it will better remove stains from your teeth. For some this could increase chances of bleeding gums, but in most cases, in time your mouth should become accustomed.
6. Oral B's brush heads are bigger. I would've thought this to be a disadvantage as it may be harder to reach the back of the mouth, but the head isn't obtrusive, it just cleans more teeth at once.
7. Oral has 3 cleaning modes. The massage mode is actually a different type of virbation. I don't know if it actually works, but hey, it's there.
Sonicare Elite 7500 advatanges over Oral B S-320:
1. The Sonicare shows 5 different battery levels. The Oral B only uses one light like the Sonicare 7300.
2. There are separate buttons to change speed and to power on/off the toothbrush. The Oral B uses one to control both, which is easy to do but may be sometimes annoying.
Other things of note
The Sonicare may feel slightly more expensive than the Oral B, but that's not to say the Oral B feels cheap.
The Oral B continues vibrating after the 2 minute timer is up, the Sonicare stops and if you want to continue you must turn it back on. This would be a preference of either depending on the individual. I prefer it to stay on because I like to brush a bit longer than 2 minutes.
There's my opinion on the two brushes. You can check the Sonicare Elite 7500 page on Amazon for my review on the product. Overall, you can obviously see I think the Oral B is better. So I am happy with my switch. Hopefully the battery doesn't mess up like the Sonicare, since they utitlize the same technology.

Get ready for a new level of clean with the Oral B Sonic Complete toothbrush system. Sonic Complete is the first sonic toothbrush from Oral-B that is specifically designed to offer you complete mouth care. Key benefits include effective plaque removal to help prevent tooth decay, plus promotion of firmer, healthier gums. The toothbrush also removes harmful, odor-causing bacteria from your tongue.
With the Sonic Complete toothbrush, you can choose from three brushing modes for a customized clean. Using sonic technology, you can effectively remove plaque, gently stimulate your gums and naturally whiten your teeth.
Oral B has the clinical proof to back up their claims about the power of the Sonic Complete system. According to clinical studies, use the toothbrush twice daily to:
Help improve the health of your teeth and gums
Effectively remove plaque without irritating gums
Reverse gingivitis for firmer, healthier gums
Whiten your teeth 25 percent better than Sonicare Elite by removing more coffee, tea, and tobacco stains
The Sonic Complete S-320 system has a number of great features that make it a powerful solution for oral health. First, multiple brushing modes-- clean, soft and massage-- offer you a customized clean that targets the needs of your entire mouth. Next, two types of bristles help provide maximum cleaning power. The "CrissCross" bristles are angled to reach deep and clean between teeth, while "Power Tip" bristles are longer to reach more difficult spots. There's also a professional timer that indicates when the recommended two-minute brushing time has been reached. The timer signals every 30 seconds, encouraging a complete cleaning of the four quadrants of your mouth. The Sonic Complete toothbrush also features great battery life from its internal rechargeable battery-- up to two weeks under normal, twice-daily use. Lastly, the toothbrush is compatible with Sonic Complete brushhead refills.
The Sonic Complete S-320 comes with the following items:
Two Oral-B Sonic Complete brushheads
Charger stand with refill storage
Deluxe travel case

Oral-B Vitality Prowhite Rechargeable Power Toothbrush, Light Blue and White Review

Oral-B Vitality Prowhite Rechargeable Power Toothbrush, Light Blue and White
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Oral-B has a number of brushes available - the Sonic, Vitality, the Professional Care family (which comprises the 1000 and 3000), and the Professional Care SmartSeries (4000 and 5000). The Oral-B 1000 is the entry level of the Professional Care series.
In my usage of the Vitality and the Oral-B 1000, the Oral-B 1000 stands at the minimum level of functionality to make an electric toothbrush viable.
In particular, note that the Vitality does not have a quadrant timer (it beeps only at the end of the 2-minute cycle), is rated at only 7600 oscillations per second, and does not have a battery charging indicator. All of which are present just one level up in the Professional Care 1000.
To me the lack of a quadrant timer is a big disappointment - I don't want to be watching a clock while brushing if I don't have to. The gentle thrumming of the Professional Care 1000 every 30 seconds is a very nice pacer.
The brushes in the Professional Care series not only add quadrant timers, but also are rated both at 8800 oscillations per second and at 40,000 pulsations per second, and have battery charge indicators.
As you go higher in the Professional Care family you get multiple brush modes (daily clean, sensitive, polish, deep clean), pressure sensors, and even wireless displays.
Overall, I found the Vitality to be lacking features that I rely on. Hence my rating. I'd strongly recommend that you consider the Professional Care 1000 as the minimum entry level functionality for a brush. You'll probably find (like I did) that you don't need much more than what the Professional Care 1000 has to offer.
Happy Brushing!
~Damodar

This product is excellent. I have had one for a few years and this purchase was for my family. Fantastic value for the money ($100bucks). Love the 2minute timer, with 30 second intervals. This toothbrush is like "Brushing for Dummies". Turn it on, put it in your mouth, it tells you when to change sides etc. and then it turns off. Lasts for 2 weeks on a charge so perfect for vacations. Comes with an extra brush head each so the product is good for a year before needing replacements. Would suggest getting the sonic seal, (cheaper from the actual website) which my son calls a toothbrush condom, to go with it.

Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health CrossAction Gentle Clean Extra Soft Toothbrush 1 ea Review

Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health CrossAction Gentle Clean Extra Soft Toothbrush 1 ea
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Do not buy this toothbrush if you are looking for a soft or extra soft toothbrush. The bristle may be soft, but the bristle is packed in very tight tufts that bruise the gum. There is no way of brushing in any one direction to make the brushing gentler because the tufts point in different directions. Supposedly, tufts different directions can reach between teeth better. But people who want an extra soft toothbrush are more concerned with damage to gum than reaching between teeth. I do not understand how can Oral-B so blatantly mislabel this product. Didn't any of their engineers put that "Extra Soft" toothbrush in their mouth to see how abbrasive it is to gums?
Oral-B sold fairly effective extra soft toothbrushes in the past, such the 50K Advantage Glide toothbrush (see reviews of Advantage Glide on Amazon). Why not stay with a product that customers like? Oral-B new extra soft toothbrushes are smaller and/or harder: not the right way to improve.

Several years back, my dentist and also my periodontal specialist both recommended I consider using an electric toothbrush to help clean my teeth. It also helps fight for my gums against periodontal disease. I wasn't so sure about investing $100 more, especially in a toothbrush. My wife finally bought me one and I have never looked back. My teeth look better. I have less plaque, less bleeding gums, less problems, less cavities. I don't think $10 every six months for new heads is too much to invest in keeping my natural teeth as long as I can.

I have already used Oral B Triumph toothbrush for a couple of years, I have to say that the Flossaction toothbrush head is the best one from Oral B so far, it works REALLY well. I like it better than the other Oral B toothbrush heads; I can feel my teeth super clean and fresh after I use the Flossaction head, I use the power tip every other day, I use it instead flossing these days, this is a great combonation, it is more expensive to buy them seperately.
I buy it here, because the shipping is free.

Hydrabrush power toothbrush Review

Hydrabrush power toothbrush
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been following a rigorous oral-health regime since being given a significantly less than ideal dental checkup 4 months ago. I have been growing very tired of how long this routine takes. The longest portion is brushing with my oral-b. The oral-b is a great brush - and using it properly (massaging each tooth separately, front, back and occlusal) removes plaque really well. BUT using it properly takes forever. Recently I've resorted to switching it on and just running it back and forth over my teeth like a regular old toothbrush because I don't have the time or patience to use as directed.
I am engineer at heart. So, I started fantasizing about a machine that you could bite into that would brush each tooth in the mouth on all surfaces at the same time. Then I went looking for it online. I did not find such a machine. The only brush that came close to my fantasy was this hydrabrush. It doesn't do all your teeth at the same time, but it does do front back and occlusal of an adjacent top and bottom tooth at the same time.
I read reviews on amazon about other user experiences and was unsure of whether or not to buy. It seems that hydra brush has a very UNINFORMATIVE/old web page where they fail to mention that they've released a new model which addresses some of the grievances mentioned in the reviews. I actually wrote to hydrabrush to ask them what the most current model was. I received a quick reply that the newest model is the 108A-R. This brush replaces the hydrabrush express model and hydrabrush no longer sells any model with an integrated water jet mechanism much too my disappointment. I was told that this is the model shown on their web page. While I can see now that the picture of the brush on the web page is indeed the newest model, there is no mention of the model number or past models on the web page. Its very helpful to see the evolution of a product, because issues which show up in reviews can be addressed in newer model literature with phrases like "new improved switch mechanism". I don't know why hydrabrush doesn't show this. Showing the evolution of the product line also makes current users pine for the newer models!
So, I ended up buying the 108A-R model from Hammacher Schlemmer because Schlemmer has an unconditional lifetime guarantee. So, if it didn't work - I figured I would just send it back - minus the restocking fee.
I have been waiting for this toothbrush since last Friday when I placed the order. It didn't go out on Friday, even though I paid for it Friday morning. It ended up being sent on Monday by UPS basic - even though I paid 16.95 for shipping! Last night I didn't even brush my teeth because I was so tired of standing in the bathroom trying not to miss a surface. So, I was very excited about being freed from my tedious regime. It arrived today Thursday 9/3/2009. I tried the batteries that came with the brush and they were dead. It says that you have to charge them for 12 hours before first use(the device comes with a separate charger - just a regular wall plug in AA battery charger). But sometimes batteries work anyway and that would have been nice. So, then I popped in some used batteries and the device did not have enough power. So then I went and got a fresh set of batteries that I had just recharged and finally the device seemed to be operating properly.
I played around with my brushing method for a while - then I read the instruction booklet which tells you not to grab the handle with your whole hand, but rather to hold the handle with your thumb and forefinger on the two grip surfaces. There are lots of warnings in the booklet that your gums may bleed for a few days after starting usage because the hydra brush brushes your gums at the same time as your teeth. Well my gums are in amazing shape, due to this ridiculous routine I've been following. So, I had no bleeding issues whatsoever.
One thing I've noticed is that the hydrabrush applies a different amount of pressure to the tooth surface than I am used to. I am a big guy - 6'2" -> 250. I now realize that I have been used to pressing the oral-b against my teeth fairly hard. This device does not really allow you to adjust the pressure you apply to your teeth as you're just sort of positioning it so that it can brush. The pressure that it applied felt "right" though. It feels like it is scrubbing your teeth thoroughly but not removing enamel. Actually maybe a better description might be that it feels like it is "brushing" your tooth surfaces and not "scraping" them! I have a friend who has been warning me not to brush too hard because he actually experienced receding gums due to applying too much pressure. So, I'm happy with the amount of pressure that it exerts.
Also, it does feel like the device is getting all the surfaces of your teeth. Its sort of like if you had a mouth full of water and magically all that water was sprayed outward between your teeth simultaneously - its a very clean feeling. The angle of the brush heads is also very good. With the oral b I had to position the head at an angle along the gumline. This device automatically does that.
So, so far - I like the brush very much. Its actually sort of fun to use.
I hope that it will continue to perform like it did today. I still use the oral-b to brush my tongue and the roof of my mouth because this brush does not allow that. Also, I tried the included tongue scraper and like the one I had bought from the store more.
I hope that hydrabrush will update their website to show the evolution of their models. Also, what the heck is with this name "108A-R". From "Express" to "108A-R". What the heck? It should have been "Express Slim" or "Next Gen" or something. This 108A-R makes it seem like a wonky prototype number that didn't get changed before production. From the pictures, it appears to me that the new 108A-R model has changed the following: different grip, slimmer handle, different "on" switch(now its a twist at the base instead of a switch in the middle of the handle). There may be other changes but from the pictures that's what I see.
From the reviews and from my brief experience using the device, this is my take: It seems to me this model is the first consumer ready model. It looks much more normal and feels like it will hold up. It looks like a "modern" product with the grip contours and materials.
It does not feel as sturdy as the oral b. Also, the way you have change the batteries instead of having a built in charger when you replace it on the sink is a drawback.
However, it is MUCH MUCH MUCH faster to use and actually - I think in practice it will remove much more plaque because people are never going to spend 10 minutes massaging each tooth in their mouth from every angle as traditional brushes require you to. My teeth feel very clean and I didn't have to spend 10 minutes trying to reposition the toothbrush correctly like I did with my oral b.
I am cautiously optimistic that this brush will be the replacement I have been looking for and that my oral care regime will stop being a source of dread and procrastination for me. I plan on coming back here to update this review periodically because I want people to know about this product so that if it works this company will stay in business!

Oral-B Precision Clean Brush Head (4 ct.) Review

Oral-B Precision Clean Brush Head (4 ct.)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Dentists all over the country are recommending the Oral-B electric toothbrush. There are several reasons. It does the work for you, vibrating thousands of times a second, massaging your gums, it lets you clean your teeth without scraping your gums with a toothbrush, which can cause them to recede and bleed, and it reaches between your teeth to catch plaque and germs. This is a wonderful toothbrush, and I recommend it. However, if you want a review of a toothbrush, you'll read the toothbrush page. This is a page for replacement heads.
There's a lot of confusion about replacement heads for Oral B electric toothbrushes on Amazon, and I just want to give you all some facts. There are only three kinds of heads for ALL Oral-B electric toothbrushes. Flexisoft EB17, Extrasoft EB17, and Ortho OD17. I prefer Flexisoft EB17, which is what this item is. (The Extrasoft is a little too soft, and the Ortho is overpriced)
The reason I mention this is that the prices are all over the board for what is the same product. For example, this listing is for four Flexisoft EB17 heads for $24.99 (The EB17-4 just means there are four of them). There are other offers through Amazon partners for this exact same item for $12.99. Make sure you find the best deal, because they're all the exact same product, listed multiple times at different prices!
