this is the first toothbrush I have ever used that the bristles fall out of & stick in one's teeth.
I don't recommend this one!

Toothbrush Wood Natural Bristle Medium Review

Toothbrush Wood Natural Bristle Medium

Ouch.
Other reviewers have said that Swissco natural bristle toothbrushes are softer than regular nylon bristle toothbrushes, and that if you want a soft natural-bristle toothbrush, get one labelled "medium."
Boy, are they wrong.
After buying this brush, using it twice and then nursing a set of ravaged gums for three days, I decided it was better suited for cleaning small glass bottles and the nibs of my calligraphy pens. I am not putting it in my mouth again.
I have since learned that Swissco toothbrushes are coded extra-soft, soft and medium, with medium being the hardest. I'd say the "medium" brush I bought was comparable in feel to the hardest "extra-hard" nylon bristle brush I've ever used, and since I wanted a soft brush, I should have opted for the one Swissco calls "extra-soft." Unfortunately, the wooden handled brushes only come with "medium" bristles.*
Live and learn, I guess. But it would make more sense for Swissco to use a coding standard in accord with most people's dental hygiene experiences.
Still, it is a lovely brush, warm yet minimalist, almost Japanese in its natural look and Zen-like austerity. *Softer natural bristles are available on Swissco's "tortoise" and "white horn" handled toothbrushes, both of which are actually plastic. This wood-handled "medium" bristled entity is the only all-natural toothbrush that Swissco makes.

Toothbrush Tortoise Color Badger Bristle Extra Soft Review

Toothbrush Tortoise Color Badger Bristle Extra Soft
Average Reviews:

This is a wonderful product. However, there are a few things to note for a better experience. Fist off, this is a tooth "brush" not a plaque scrubber. One must remember to "brush" one's teeth not scrub them. For goodness sake they are your teeth not a dirty floor. Efforts to reduce the brushing time by scrubbing harder will result in an unpleasent experience. Paitence is the key to any hygene act. Unlike your average drug store commercially marketed toothbrush, this one is not made of super durable plastic. If you drop it, or like some users, brush too hard, you may have an unpleasent experience and end up with a broken toothbrush. It is ture that the bristles do fall out, but this is due to the fact that they are natural and like everything natural they wear down and degrade. This will become less frequent after the first few days as the weakest hairs pull away. It will again become more frequent as the brush reaces the end of its life about 6 months later. Note: this product is all-natural and biodegradeable, therefore bieng a "green" choice for consumers as well as a more luxurious experience.

These were shipped quickly. I bought one for every member of the family. We all love them. I would say though, that "medium" in Fuch's is more like "hard" in the conventional world of the toothbrush, Order "soft" if you really want medium.
I like the feeling of these, even though they are more stiff than what I'm used to, they feel good in the mouth.

Swissco Tooth Brush Tortoise Natural Bristle, Soft, 3-Count Pack Review

Swissco Tooth Brush Tortoise Natural Bristle, Soft, 3-Count Pack

This toothbrush is a pure waste of money. The idea of buying a natural bristle brush is that the ends of each bristle will be naturally rounded so it doesn't scrape your teeth and ruin the enamel. This toothbrush has flat-cut bristles with 90 degree edges (NOT GOOD FOR TEETH). Also it is very large. Maybe i have an unusually small mouth, but i just could not comfortably brush with it or get into all the nooks and crannies in the back of my mouth. Plus the bristles tend to be a lot softer than synthetics. So if you want the equivalent of a synthetic soft, you want to buy a medium natural bristle.
