(More customer reviews)I really like this product. I got the kids version to try for me, my dog, and a couple to give away.
I like it. It feels like a massage. It is very soft and sturdy, also excellent for my dog who likes to chew as I brush her teeth.
Unfortunately, I only received ONE toothbrush. I contacted Amazon and they told me to keep the toothbrush, and they would send a replacement order. I tried the toothbrush, then used it for my dog.
I received the replacement order yesterday. There was only ONE toothbrush in it. I like this toothbrush, but it is not worth $17 for just one. I am sending it back. Hopefully this gets sorted out. I had plans for the six toothbrushes that were supposed to arrive.
A small thing - I brushed without toothpaste first. The bristles tasted a bit soapy. Just use toothpaste and this shouldn't be a problem. I was trying to evaluate just the brush, so I didn't use the toothpaste at first.
If the product contained the stated number of brushes then this would be 5 stars.

I purchased the product again and got all six toothbrushes. The cost is worth it. It is also made in the USA - which is a big plus for me. The packaging and colors are a bit different than shown on the photos. It is improved aesthetically.
I have used both the child's and adult's version. I recommend the child's size to start with if you have a small mouth. Then move onto the adult size. My jaw was sore at first with the adult's size because I had to open my mouth wider to accommodate the larger brush.
I am using the child size right now because it is more affordable, so I can replace it more often, and because the adult size is harder to clean. Some food particles got trapped in the bigger toothbrush. I was unable to get them out because there are so many bristles.
The main downside for an adult to use a child size brush is the length of the handle. It takes more effort to manipulate a small handle in a large mouth.

(More customer reviews)Most people use whatever toothbrush falls into their life -- a freebie from the dentist, one purchased from the selection of the corner drugstore, or perhaps drawn from a twelve-brush family-pack stocked at a local big-box warehouse retailers. And while any one of these passive receipts may lead to an adequate brush, they will not consistently lead you to a superior tool that matches your own mouth's needs.
In particular, beyond obvious differences such as brush head size and bristle stiffness, consumers should consider overall length, head angle, bristle pattern, neck thickness and handle composition. The best brush for you is the one that allows you to easily reach all tooth surfaces (particularly the sides and backs of rear molars) and is sufficiently pleasant to use that you'll go the full two-minutes recommended by most dentists.
Dental hygenists will tell you that most people use brushes with too-big heads and too-firm bristles. While a full-sized brush head suggests greatest coverage per stroke, in fact the size blunts the brush's effectiveness in hard-to-reach areas. Only those with larger-than-average sized mouths (or perhaps horse-like teeth) actually need a full-sized toothbrush. Most will be better served by a compact head size.
Similarly, many feel that firm bristles will more readily remove debris and plaque, when in fact the average user will only find that such bristles cause gum irritation. A soft (or even extra-soft) bristle will work just as well, and be more inviting for a full two-minute brush. You don't need to scrub your teeth like a tile floor to achieve optimal cleaning.
With all of that in mind, the Butler G-U-M Super Tip Soft Compact Head toothbrush will be a favorite of many. The bristles are a touch softer than other brands' "soft" -- particularly retail leader Oral B's. The slightly stiffer bristles at the tip combine with the compact head and narrow neck to allow rear tooth surfaces to be reached with ease. The notched handle and rubberized grip provide additional control and remain comfortable in the hand.
Butler toothbrushes can be more difficult to find than Oral B or Colgate branded items, but they're worth the search. If you can't find them at your local retailer, it's worth the extra effort to order them on-line. And order some floss while you're at it! [?2006 hyperbolium dot com]

So many toothbrushes that are "soft" start that way, but the bristles quickly harden with use. These bristles stay soft and they don't scratch up my gums. The arch of the toothbrush also makes brushing easy, especially in the way back. The price was right and the colors are pretty too!
