(More customer reviews)I used to own a Zapi sanitizer by the same manufacturer, but the UV light broke after a year. So when looking for replacement I saw this new product, I thought it would be great: just the perfect size to fit on the counter top and can be used for both mine and my spouse's brushes. I've had it now for 4 months and discovered that compared to Zapi it has a major drawback: it goes through batteries VERY fast, and needs a new set of batteries (3 AAAs) every 2-3 weeks. I use the sanitizer 2x a day - morning and night after brushing, and had to replace batteries 5 or 6 times already. This can get expensive. Not sure what the problem is: Zapi used to last on one set of batteries for months, albeit it had a shorter shut-off cycle time and only held 1 brush.
I would not recommend this product, unless you have an unlimited supply of AAA batteries and don't mind changing them every couple weeks.
