(More customer reviews)Husband uses the expensive & forever failing & changing models Sonic Care rechargable brushes. I found these in 04 & couldn't be happier. I left him to play with the Soniccare items on his own. I find this as good as it gets. No timing & no fancy gimmicks but I get great feed back & results when I go in for cleaning. I'm always told...once a year is quite enough for an annual check up & cleaning not twice or more. What I also love about these toothbrushes is you can travel with them. Not itty bitty mind you but they aren't bad either. The battery life seems reasonable & I can tell when they need changing because it does slow down but still keeps going. Maybe someone else wouldn't notice so then change them on a scheduled basis like every 4 or 6 months. I suspect 6 is plenty of time for that. I change them no more than twice a year it seems. I have two tiny toothbrushes I carry in my purse when on travel or camping or biking and one is a snoopy kids model that's nice and short and has a nice cover for protection on the head. It fits in a side pocket so no one ever notices my tooth brush. Also the other is skinnier and though an adult size it has a small soft head & slim size is great to travel with too. No head protector so I bought one of those that slips over just the head. A sandwich Zip Lock bag works great and holds the travel tooth paste and floss all together. If I could change anything it would be the noise any of the electronic tooth brushes make both battery or electric. I take my Oral-B along for travel to convention or extended road trips. I change the brushes about 2-3 times a year but make sure in between time they are kept clean & not building up toothpaste in any way so as not to prevent good performance. The only thing that could be better is sometimes you catch the bristles in the cover wrong and it bends them out of shape. So I'll replace a head when that happens. I've learned to be more careful and inspect it when putting the cover on most every time as an automatic thing. I never worry about batteries on travel. If I'm going for a long time like trip to NZ for two months I'll put in a new set so no problem. I always use the soft brushes as recommended by most dentists. Beats the hassle of sharing a sonic care model too with your husband. Or how about that famous divorce case where they shared the same electric toothbrush & they had to choose who gets it? Everyone can have their own here and their own color to keep it straight!
